Nashville FD Investigators Complete Investigation Of Brentwood Oaks Fire

Nashville Fire Department Investigators have concluded their investigation into the apartment fire at 100 Brentwood Oaks, Nashville, TN 37211 on May 24, 2021.

The fire destroyed building #5 and displaced the tenants of 18 units in the building.
NFD Fire Investigators have classified the fire as undetermined. This classification means investigators are unable to identify all the components of the cause of the fire.

Due to the damage done by the fire, the investigators are unable to also determine if the fire suppression system activated properly or if it was impacted by the fire.
On Monday, May 24, 2021 Metro DEC dispatchers sent NFD firefighters to the Brentwood Oaks apartment for a reported structure fire. Multiple people called to report Building #5 was on fire.
Because of the size of the fire NFD personnel called for a second-alarm response to allow for more personnel to arrive on scene to stabilize the incident.
NFD Personnel were able to extinguish the fire after several hours of firefighting. There were no injuries reported to the public or personnel.
