Nashville Hotels Sell Out, Prices Skyrocket For Draft, Marathon
Many downtown hotels are already sold out for the dual NFL Draft-marathon weekend in April 2019 and those that aren't are very high priced.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Perhaps it should be no surprise, but it's going to be tough to find a hotel room in Nashville during the fourth weekend of April 2019. And finding an affordable one? You might as well go to Gallatin.
The annual Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and the NFL Draft are already on the books. The Nashville Predators are once again expected to be among the NHL's top teams and the weekend of April 26 and 27 falls during the typical timeframe at the end of the hockey playoffs' first round or in the early part of the second.
WSMV found that the Omni, Hilton and Cambria are already sold out; the Thompson in The Gulch has rooms. For $1,500. Opryland is a touch cheaper at $1,000.

The cheapest rooms WSMV found downtown were at the Clarion for $638.
The actual logistics of the weekend are still a mystery.

The marathon traditionally finishes in the shadow of Nissan Stadium, uses the Music City Center for registration and staging and closes streets throughout downtown and its environs.
Similarly, venues like the Ryman Auditorium and Ascend Amphitheater, while presenting a cool visual, would run into the same traffic issues.
In any case, Butch Spyridon, President and CEO of the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation, has said he envisions using multiple venues - all the aforementioned, plus the Grand Ole Opry - to host the draft, according to The Tennessean.
