Nashville Interstate Lane Closures Set For 5 Summer Weekends
Repairs to two stretches of interstate near downtown Nashville will require five weekend-long road closures this summer, TDOT says.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Repairs to two stretches of interstate near downtown Nashville will close lanes of the roadways through five different weekends this summer, the state's transportation department announced.
TDOT says to complete repairs required after a truck crashed into an overpass at the I-40/I-65 split. I-40 eastbound access west of the bridge will be down to one lane and the I-65 northbound ramp to I-40 west will be closed Friday, June 22 at 8 p.m. through Monday, June 25 at 6 a.m. and again Friday, July 13 at 8 p.m. through Monday, July 16 at 6 a.m.
This closure will not effect I-40 westbound traffic.

Three weekends will be required to fix the I-40 bridge over 2nd and 4th avenues and Lafayette Street. Crews will close I-40 from the I-65 split near the Adventure Science Center through to the I-24 split at the Silliman Evans Bridge for three weekends:

- Friday, July 27 at 8 p.m. through Monday, July 30 at 6 a.m.
- Friday, August 3 at 8 p.m. through Monday, August 6 at 6 a.m.
- Friday, August 10 at 8 p.m. through Monday August 13 at 6 a.m.
Repair schedules are weather-dependent.
