Nashville PD: Berwin Freeman Jr. Wanted For Fatal Shooting Outside Bar Louie

Homicide Unit detectives have identified Berwin Freeman Jr., 26, as the suspect in last Friday night’s fatal shooting of Timothy Fields, 30, outside Bar Louie on 11th Avenue South. An arrest warrant charging Freeman with criminal homicide has been issued. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

The investigation, being led by Detective Tyler Manivong, shows that Fields stepped out of the bar to retrieve a cigarette when a brief argument ensued between him and a man (alleged to have been Freeman) standing beside a dark colored Nissan Altima. Just after Fields was shot, the gunman got into the Altima and fled. Fields was rushed to a hospital where he died.
