Nashville Police ID Woman Fatally Shot Sunday In Alley Behind Green Street

The woman fatally shot Sunday at 6:15 p.m. in an alley behind 83 Green Street is identified as Brittney Bannister, 31, of Millwood Drive.

Officers responded to shots fired and found Bannister deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Residents in the area reported only hearing gunshots prior to police arrival.

Bannister was fully clothed but did not have any belongings or identification on her person. Officers familiar with Bannister recognized her which led to her identification.
