Nashville Regional City Veterans Day Parade: Everything You Need to Know

Honor Nashville area veterans alongside the 101st Airborne Division Band this Friday, November 11 at 11 a.m.

NASHVILLE, TN - The Davidson County Veterans Coordinating Council is hosting a Regional City Veterans Day Parade tomorrow, November 11 at 11 a.m.

What's the route?

The procession will begin on Broadway and continue from 14th to 3rd Avenue. Leading the charge will be the 101st Airborne Division Band, Honor Guard and Troop element. The public is encouraged to gather and support local veterans.

Who's in charge?

The chairman of this year's parade is a Vietnam veteran named Ron Bottomley, an officer with the Vietnam Veterans of America. The parade's Co-Grand Marshal handling music is Georgette Jones, daughter of George Jones and Tammy Wynette.

"It begins promptly at 11 a.m. on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, which is a historical connection with the end of World War I in 1918," said Anthony Westbrooks, Chairman of the Davidson County Veterans Coordinating Council in a press release.
