Patch: Tell Patch a little bit about your organization!

Setting the Stage Performing Arts Studio: We are one part a performing arts studio that teaches dance (ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theater), music, theater, and creative writing to the young and young at heart of Middle TN, with an emphasis in a storyteller's curriculum. We are also another part educational entertainment production company, with our hit live and and filmed show, the quirky one woman puppet show, Mizz KT and Friendz.

Patch: How does your organization help to strengthen the local community?

Setting the Stage Performing Arts Studio: Our mission is to mold the next generation of storytellers who use their gifts in the performing arts to better our community.

Patch: What is the biggest struggle your organization faces?

Setting the Stage Performing Arts Studio: Broadening our student base and finding funding to get our programming in areas that need it the most.

Patch: What do you hope for the future of your nonprofit?

Setting the Stage Performing Arts Studio: We hope to have our own building where we can create a playground where children can learn and create. We also hope to have some sort of program in every school and/or library in every at risk school in the Middle TN area.
