Detectives say the juveniles shoplifted the BB pistol from a West Nashville sporting goods store and the BBs themselves from another store. Police claim the two shot windows of downtown buildings and an MTA bus before the two men were shot.

Police say the two ran across the pedestrian bridge and were apprehended near Nissan Stadium. The 12-year-old reportedly told officers he threw the pistol in the river.
