Blackburn has been a reliable ally of Trump's since his campaign for the GOP nomination began and has continued as a frequent surrogate for him since.
Blackburn will likely face-off against former Gov. Phil Bredesen in the general election. Polls show the pair neck and neck in a state where Trump won an overwhelming victory in 2016 and still enjoys an approval rating well above the national average.
Trump last held a rally in Nashville, also at Municipal, March 15, 2017.
