Publix, Kroger, Walmart Thanksgiving 2017 Store Hours

NASHVILLE, TN — It's virtually impossible to remember everything on the Thanksgiving dinner list and invariably there's always going to be a last minute run to the local grocery store for another stick of butter or cup of brown sugar.

Middle Tennessee Kroger stores will be open until 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23 for those last-minute dinner table necessities.

As usual, however, Publix will be closed Thanksgiving Day, a long-standing practice for the chain. Costco will also close Thanksgiving.

Walmart, on the other hand, will be closed until 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving to offer a Black Friday jump-start as well as a parachute for families who take their Thanksgiving Dinner closer to supper time.

And people who need a little wine with their turkey will have to remember to hit the stores on Wednesday. Liquor stores are closed by law on Thanksgiving and grocery stores are not permitted to sell wine even if they are open.
