Stretch Of I-40 Closing For Weekend Repairs
One mile of Interstate 40 near downtown Nashville and nearby streets will be closed this weekend as TDOT repairs bridge decking.
NASHVILLE, TN -- One mile of Interstate 40 near downtown Nashville and some nearby streets will be closed this weekend as the Tennessee Department of Transportation makes repairs.
Between 8 p.m. Friday, July 27 and 6 a.m. Monday July 30, I-40 will be closed between the split with I-24 near the Silliman Evans Bridge to the split with I-65 near the Adventure Science Center. In addition, Second and Fourth avenues and Lafayette Street under I-40 will be closed.
TDOT said the closures are to repair bridge decking.
