Want Predators Playoff Tickets? Good Luck

"Verified Fans" will have the (very slim) chance of scoring $15 tickets to Predators playoff games.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Nashville Predators playoff tickets were the hottest item in town during the team's historic run to the Stanley Cup Final last year, with secondary-market prices reaching record levels.

Between a larger-than-ever season-ticket holder base and ticket holds required by the NHL, single-game tickets to this year's playoffs, which begin Thursday night against the Colorado Avalanche, are even more hard to come by.

As per long-standing tradition, the Predators will offer 100 day-of-game tickets for just $15, but you'd better be lucky.

To keep bots and scalpers from scooping up the extremely limited last-minute ducats, the Predators have started the Verified Fan program. Real-life human beings can go to predators.tmverifiedfan.com and log in with a Ticketmaster account.

The day before tickets go on sale, fans will receive an email with information about their Verified Fan invitation status. If verified and invited to shop, they will receive a text the morning tickets go on sale with an access code and link.

There are already more than 15,000 Verified Fans, making the chances of scoring the seats roughly the same as scoring on Pekka Rinne. But somebody's got to win, right?
