400 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized At Mexican Border
Border patrol agents using night vision equipment saw eight people carrying seven backpacks at the border.

MARATHON, TX -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized nearly 400 pounds of marijuana early April 7 at the Mexican border. The drugs were seized by Alpine Station agents along with Brewster County Sheriff’s officers at about 2:45 a.m., CBP said in a news release.
Alpine agents using night vision equipment saw eight people carrying seven backpacks. The backpacks were consistent of marijuana packaging and tested positive for marijuana, CBP said.
“Our agents are committed to keeping drugs out of our communities and to work hand in hand with our local law enforcement partners," patrol agent in charge Roberto Dominguez said in the news release.
