Cops Show Support For Fallen Officer's Son At 1st Football Game
"This was another first in his life, and we wanted to be there," Mission, Texas police chief Robert Dominguez told The Washington Post.

After a Texas officer was killed in the line of duty, the fellow members of his department and other law enforcement officials were there to support his son at his first football game.
Mission, Texas police officer Corporal Joey "Speedy" Espericueta was shot and killed in the line of duty in June. Espericueta was slain when he was waved down for a suspect with a gun. The suspect in the shooting was also killed.
Espericueta's son, Joaquin, was named an honorary captain of the football team for the game on Sept. 21. It wasn't only officers from Mission who were there to support Joaquin on the big day. In the bleachers, border patrol agents from the CBP's Rio Grande Valley station also turned up to show their support.
