Nearly 700 Pounds Of Buc-ee's Jerky Recalled After Metal Found
The Buc-ee's ready-to-eat teriyaki beef jerky is being recalled after metal was found within.

EL CAMPO, TX — The popular Texas gas station chain Buc-ee's is recalling nearly 700 pounds worth of ready-to-eat teriyaki beef jerky after metal was found within one of them, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The recall was made after a convenience store customer found metal in some jerky Sept. 17.
The beef jerky in question has “EST. 48213” inside the USDA mark of inspection, FSIS added. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products, FSIS said. Anyone who purchased these products should throw them away or return them to the Buc-ee's of purchase.
The beef jerky was manufactured at Junior’s Smokehouse Processing Plant in El Campo. A request for comment has been placed with Buc-ee's. This story will be updated with more information at it becomes available.
