The Department of Public Safety has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest of one of Texas' most wanted sex offenders to $8,000. Pete Jerry Luna, 52, is wanted for sexual abuse of a child and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements, DPS said in a news release.

"Luna has been wanted since March 2018 when he absconded from his last known address in Corsicana, Texas, located in Navarro County; he also has ties to the Houston area," DPS said. "In 1992, Luna was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child after an incident in Navarro County involving an eight-year-old girl."

Luna is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. For more information and updates in the event of his arrest, see his wanted bulletin.
