Texas-Based HEB Makes List Of Top Grocery Retailers In U.S.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — One of the top grocery store chains in the United States was born in Texas. H-E-B was named one of top grocery stores in the U.S. in a recently published report.

The report, which was published by Dunnhumby Retailer Preference Index, considered several factors including costs and convenience, emotional connection, and the financial performance of the company.

Based on the report, Trader Joe’s topped the list, followed by Costco, Amazon and H-E-B, and other large retailers like Walmart and Sam’s Club.

In 2018, the National Retail Federation published an article listed Walmart as the top retailer in the U.S.. H-E-B was 20th on the list of grocery stores and retailers on that same list.

H-E-B, which is headquartered in San Antonio, has been in business for more than 100 years, and has more than 400 stores in Texas and northern Mexico.
