Texas Newlyweds Die In Crash Moments After Leaving Their Wedding

The young couple was pulling out of the courtroom where they had just been married when there was a fatal car crash.

A young newlywed couple was killed in a car crash in southeastern Texas just moments after tying the knot in a courtroom wedding.

The couple, Harley Joe Morgan, 19, and Rhiannon Marie Morgan, 20, were pulling out of the courtroom in Orange County, Texas on Friday when there was a crash with a pickup truck, local news outlet KFDM reported. According to KFDM's report, the young couple was killed at the scene.

According to The Beaumont Enterprise, many in the wedding party had been following behind the couple and witnessed the crash, including the groom's mother. The pickup that hit the couple's car had been pulling a trailer loaded with a tractor. The pickup driver was reportedly not injured in the crash.

"I had to sit there and watch my two babies die," the groom's mother, LaShawna Morgan, told The Beaumont Enterprise. "That is an image I will have for the rest of my life. I still have his blood on my hands from trying to pull him and her out of there."

According to the paper, the same judge that had married the couple pronounced them dead at the scene.
