Texas Resident Captures Bobcat On Surveillance Camera

The video illustrates the thriving nature of the wild cats across Texas, even as others species are struggling to survive.

AUSTIN, TX — Texas residents are increasingly spotting bobcats in their neighborhoods, and there's good reason.

A resident in Allen, Texas, is the latest to capture images of the animal on video. While newcomers may be alarmed at the sight of a bobcat, they're actually quite a common sight in Texas.

While other native wild cat species are struggling to survive in Texas, the bobcat is thriving. According to the Texas Parks & Wildlife, "...the bobcat's secretive nature, highly developed physical capabilities, and ability to adapt to changing conditions have allowed it to thrive."
