Tuberculosis Case Confirmed At Beaumont West Brook High
Exposure was sometime between Oct. 31 and Feb. 2. Students at BISD campuses will be tested if determined a need by the health department.

BEAUMONT, TX — The Beaumont ISD confirmed the local health department reported a single case of tuberculosis at one of its high schools. The exposure time at West Brook High School was between Oct. 31 and Feb. 2, according to Beaumont ISD.
BISD sent a letter home to parents Thursday to say the health department will notify them if their child's campus will require a TB test, which is tentatively scheduled for early April if needed.
The district added that the health department will be at West Brook to test other potentially impacted students. BISD discourages having students tested by their personal physicians prior to campus testing to avoid an "inaccurate result."
