Arlington Businesses Partner With Boys & Girls Clubs To Fulfill Christmas Wishes

Members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County will have their wish lists granted this holiday season, thanks to some local businesses.

More than 20 companies stepped up to provide gifts and much-needed items for the thousands of students served by The Boys & Girls Clubs. The companies are also sending volunteers to spend time with members, assemble gifts and join in holiday activities.

"Our holiday partnerships connect companies in our community to young people who need extra attention and care during this holiday season ," said Daphne Barlow Stigliano, CEO & President of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County. "Together, we make sure our members feel celebrated."

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County has already hosted one holiday partnership event at an Arlington branch with three more to come.

On Dec. 11, employees from The Healthcare Project delivered gifts and shared a meal with members at the Main Branch.

Tuesday, Dec. 18, volunteers from Honda will bring bike parts to the East Branch, where members will be able to design their own bikes.

Members from the Kromer and North branches will head to the Junior League of Arlington Dec. 19 to celebrate with the Fort Worth Builders Association.

The celebrations wrap up Dec. 20, when The Spirit of Hope Foundation hosts a dinner and visit from Santa for members of the East, North, Kromer and Main branches.

Members at other Tarrant County branches are receiving similar celebrations. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County serve more than 23,000 children each year with programs focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles and positive citizenship.
