The Arlington Police Department is proud to have partnered with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department to host an inaugural Baseball Clinic for children. This event provided an opportunity for kids to enhance their baseball skills while meeting Arlington police officers and touring Globe Life Field.
“We are so excited to expand our partnership with the Texas Rangers and Arlington Parks and Recreation to build stronger relationships with kids and teens,” said Arlington Chief of Police Al Jones. “By getting to know kids in a familiar sports setting in this world-class stadium, officers are in a great position to build positive relationships that can last a lifetime.”

Through the partnership with the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department, hundreds of summer “campers” spent the morning at the ballpark on Friday, June 25, 2021. The Rangers created three stations for all participants – a tour of the Ballpark, on-field baseball clinic activities, and conversations with Arlington’s Finest.
“We loved working with APD and the Rangers to facilitate and provide an opportunity for Arlington youth to build relationships with our community partners and make lasting memories,” said Assistant Director Venera Flores-Stafford with the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department.
The Texas Rangers have graciously provided free tickets to a future baseball game at Globe Life Field to all campers, in addition to a free T-shirt commemorating this special event.
