Downtown Arlington Roads Closed After Worker Strikes Gas Line
A subcontractor working on the Abrams Street Rebuild project hit an unmarked gas line. Streets near old downtown Arlington are affected.

ARLINGTON, TX — Officials have closed some streets in the area of Central Arlington after a worker struck an unmarked gas main during the Abram Street Rebuild project Tuesday afternoon.
The City of Arlington announced the closures on Twitter Tuesday afternoon, apologizing for any inconveniences caused by the closures.
The closures are: Southbound Cooper Street from Division to Abram Streets and eastbound Abram from Thornton to Cooper Streets remain closed while crews from Atoms work to repair the issue.

These closures may affect traffic into and out of Arlington Police Headquarters, which can be accessed from Division Street.
The City is working to have the streets reopened by Tuesday evening.
