Man Dies After Assault In Assisted Living Center

ARLINGTON, TX -- A 31-year-old man who lived in an assisted living facility has died after he was assaulted there Nov. 27 by another resident. Mina Iskander died early Monday morning, NBC DFW reported. Iskander was assaulted at his residence at Cedar Oaks Home at 1000 Coke Drive sometime before 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 27, the Star-Telegram reported.

Iskander was hospitalized following the assault and the cause of death is still being determined by the medical examiner. Cedar Oaks Home serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
