Man Shot During Road Rage Incident In Arlington

The victim was grazed by a bullet and released from the hospital Monday night.

ARLINGTON, TX -- The Arlington Police Department is investigating a road rage incident that resulted in one man getting shot in the head Sunday night. The man, who had his family in his car, was travelling southbound S.H. 360 to merge onto the westbound lanes of I.H. 20 at about 8:07 p.m. when the incident happened, APD wrote on Facebook.

As the victim began travelling in the right hand lane, the suspect's vehicle started to pass on the outside shoulder. During this maneuver, the suspect sideswiped the victim's car, causing damage to the victim's mirror and right front fender, APD wrote.

The victim pulled over onto the shoulder to exchange insurance information with the suspect when the suspect began kicking the victim's driver's side door and banging on the window, APD wrote.

"The victim rolled the window down and reported that the suspect produced a handgun and pointed at him," APD wrote. "The victim said he began to turn his head as the suspect discharged one round which grazed the victim's head and exited out of the passenger window which was rolled up."

No one else in the victim's car was injured. The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, 5'08" tall, and medium build with a mustache and goatee or beard. The suspect also wore black rim glasses, APD wrote.
