MedExpress Neighborhood Medical Center to Open in Arlington, TX

The new neighborhood medical center, the 12th in Texas, will host an open house on July 31st, and will offer free sports physicals Aug. 1– 7

MedExpress Urgent Care, a neighborhood health care provider, will open an urgent care center at 3700 Cooper St. in Arlington, Texas on Aug. 1st. The center will offer sports physicals to patients ages five and up from Aug. 1–7 to mark the opening.

The Arlington center will be the 12th MedExpress locations in Texas, joining three existing Dallas-area centers in Fort Worth (S. Hulen St.), Little Elm (E. Eldorado Pwky) and Dallas (Lake June Rd.). MedExpress has plans to open additional centers in Fort Worth and Irving later this summer and fall.

The center will care for people of all ages, providing urgent care, employer health services, and basic wellness and prevention services. Walk-in treatment is available for everyday illness and injury – including treatment for common summer injuries such as cuts, scrapes, rashes, bites, strings and burns – as well as more advanced services including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains. Local employers can use MedExpress for employer health services that include workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, physicals and regulatory exams. Basic wellness and prevention services available include sports physicals, routine physicals and immunizations to help local residents maintain good health.

The Arlington center will have multiple exam rooms, a procedure room and an X-ray suite. The center will be open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with no appointment necessary. MedExpress accepts all major insurance plans and offers affordable pricing for people without insurance. The center will be staffed by a full medical team that includes medical providers, radiologic technologists, nurses and customer service representatives. As a community health care partner, MedExpress believes strongly in the importance of working with fellow community health care providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. When necessary, MedExpress can help refer patients within the broader health care system, including referrals to specialists, primary care physicians and hospitals.
