The Arlington Police Department have responded to five bomb threats Thursday that were unfounded.

ARLINGTON, TX -- The Arlington Police Department has responded to five bomb threats around the city Thursday that ended up being unfounded. The threats came through email, APD wrote on Facebook.

"These calls are similar to what is occurring across the country according to open source media. There has not been any credibility related to our threat calls. As always, if you see something out of the ordinary that you feel is suspicious in nature, call APD," the department added.

According to CNN, similar emails were received at University of Washington in Seattle, San Francisco, and Penn State University.
