Rangers Hall Of Famer John Wetteland​ Charged With Sexual Abuse

Wetteland lives in Trophy Club and was once a MLB World Series MVP.

ARLINGTON, TX -- John Wetteland, who is in the Texas Rangers' Hall of Fame, has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, according to reports. Wetteland, 52, was released from custody after posting a $25,000 bond, ESPN reported.

"In 12 seasons, Wetteland was 48-45 with a 2.93 ERA and 330 saves. He was a member of the New York Yankees' 1996 World Series championship team and was named MVP of the series. He also played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos and Texas Rangers," ESPN reported.

Wetteland is the Rangers' all-time saves leader with 150. He was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame in 2005, the Dallas Morning News reported.
