School Administrator Suspended Following Expletive-Filled Tweet

ARLINGTON, TX — A private school administrator was suspended indefinitely Monday evening after he sent Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing porn star Stormy Daniels, a private message on Twitter calling him a “a f------ douche bag” and a “lying piece of s---." Butch Groves, the head of Upper School for The Oakridge School in Arlington, admitted that he sent the message, according to a letter shared on Twitter by Jon Kellam, head of school.

"I have been in contact with Mr. Groves who has admitted to the communication; he deeply regrets his comments and the negative attention brought to the school," Kellam said. "Oakridge employees are expected to maintain the respect, dignity and professionalism that is consistent with our mission. Mr. Groves’ conduct was unacceptable and inconsistent with these policies and standards."

It is unclear what prompted Groves to send the message to Avenatti. The tweet was sent to Avenatti after news broke about him taking on client involved in the ongoing drama surrounding Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

“It’s completely inappropriate to send an unsolicited message like that to anyone,” Avenatti told the Star-Telegram. "He held a leadership position at a school in Arlington. I was even more outraged. This is a man who is supposed to be leading and teaching kids."

Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual misconduct by two different women.
