3 Men Rob Armored Car Outside Bellaire Bank Of America Branch

Armored car guard is assaulted as robbers get away with bag of cash in SUV

HOUSTON, TX — Police are looking for three men who assaulted an armored car guard, and took off with a bag of cash Tuesday morning.

The robbery was reported at about 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the Bank of America branch in the 6700 block of Stella Link Road. (Want to get daily updates about traffic news and other events going on in your area? Sign up for the free Houston Patch morning newsletter.)

Investigators said the guard was making a deliver at the bank, when several individuals came at him from behind, hit him in the head and took a bag with an undisclosed amount of cash, KTRK reported.

Investigators said they are looking for three armed men wearing camouflage, who took off in an SUV on Bellaire Blvd., and Loop 610, the Houston Chronicle reported.

No shots were fired during the robbery.
