Authorities Seek Convicted Rapist In Houston Area

HOUSTON, TX — Police officials have issued an alert and are seeking the public's help in apprehending Christoper Jones, 50, who was convicted of rape in 1986 in Louisiana. He is believed to still be in the Houston area, according to a statement from Houston Crime Stoppers.

Jones, who escaped from the Ben Reid Facility here, was in August 2016 issued a warrant by Harris County officials for failing to register as a sex offender. He left the facility, a halfway house, around that time.
