Bellaire Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department was honored with the prestigious Gold Medal Award from Texas Recreation and Park Society. The Gold Medal Award recognizes communities demonstrating excellence in Parks and Recreation Management.

Texas Recreation and Park Society awarded Recreation Superintendent, Ryan Smith with the Jerry D. Garrett Memorial Young Professional Award. This award recognizes one outstanding young professional in the entire state in the field of Parks and Recreation who is committed to advancing in the industry through leadership, work accomplishments and volunteerism.
