Bellaire Police Searching For Owner Of Dog That Bit Boy
If the large white dog with brown spots and large jowls is not found, youth will have to undergo rabies treatment.

BELLAIRE, TX – The Bellaire Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating the owner of a large white dog that bit a boy on Monday evening near Lafayette Park. The owner is described as a white female with dark hair standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall. She was wearing a maroon top and light blue shorts at the time of the incident.
The boy, who is 11 years old, has Asperger syndrome. If the owner and the dog are not found, he will have to undergo painful rabies treatment. If you have any information about this event, you are urged to contact the Bellaire Police Department at 713-668-0487.
As reported by Bellaire Connect, witnesses of the incident said it took place between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Monday; the boy was riding a bicycle on Lafayette Street when the woman being sought walked toward him. She was leading two dogs on leashes, and the white dog broke loose and knocked the boy to the ground, then bit him on the leg. After asking if the boy was OK, the woman left the scene without providing any information about the vaccination status of the dog.
