Dennis Quaid And The Sharks Bellaire Block Party Show Postponed

Show scheduled for this Saturday moved three weeks back, now on Nov. 11

BELLAIRE, TX — The Bellaire Block Party featuring Dennis Quaid and the Sharks originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 21, has been postponed until Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. Quaid, a Bellaire native and BHS graduate, asked that the Bellaire Block Party be rescheduled because of "unforeseen circumstances." Quaid said he was regretful at this change in plans but looks forward to coming home to Bellaire in just a few short weeks.

"We will be celebrating our nation’s Veterans and the Bellaire Brave," the city stated in a release Monday afternoon. "The City of Bellaire, Patrons for Bellaire Parks and the Bellaire Business Association are excited about hosting this community-wide Harvey relief concert honoring those that live by the motto "Service Before Self.""

The musical fundraiser headlined Dennis Quaid and The Sharks will be Nov. 11, from 1-5 p.m. on the Great Lawn at Bellaire Town Square. The concert and event will benefit the Bellaire Brave Fund. The fund was created to help city employees that were personally impacted by Hurricane Harvey. In remembering his roots, Quaid’s concert will help the city on its journey to rise above the floodwaters of Harvey and celebrate the spirit of patriotism, community and resilience for which we are known.
