Dennis Quaid And The Sharks To Play Bellaire Block Party

The Bellaire native is playing his hometown to help relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey

BELLAIRE, TX — Hometown Bellaire hero Dennis Quaid and his band The Sharks will headline a concert lineup for a Bellaire Block Party on Saturday, Oct. 21. It's part of a daylong celebration of the town that will double as a community-wide relief effort in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, which flooded Bellaire and other surrounding communities.

This musical fundraiser will be held Oct. from 1 - 5 p.m. on the Great Lawn at Bellaire Town Square. The concert and event will benefit the Bellaire Brave Fund.

Quaid will begin with a tour through Bellaire at 1 p.m. traveling down Newcastle with a stop at the Nature Discovery Center’s Annual Pumpkin Patch, followed by a stop at Horn Field/Elementary school and will circle down Maple St. and then back to the Bellaire Town Square.

Also beginning at 1 p.m. in Bellaire Town Square, residents can enjoy live music by the Big “Al” Bettis Band and food while waiting for the performance by Dennis Quaid and the Sharks.

Quaid and his acting brother, Randy, are alumni of Bellaire High School, which will be getting a brand new campus by the year 2021.
