Man Hit By Car In Bellaire Dies From Injuries
A 74-year-old man who suddenly crossed Bellaire Blvd. in traffic was hit on April 10. He died Wednesday night at the hospital.
BELLAIRE, TX — A man who crossed Bellaire Boulevard and was hit by a car last week died from his injuries Wednesday. According to Houston Police, a 74-year-old man suddenly tried to cross the 8600 block of Bellaire Blvd. near Sharpstown when the driver of a black 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe was driving westbound and unable to stop in time.
The man suffered head injuries and was taken by HFD paramedics to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. Doctors pronounced the man dead at the hospital on Wednesday (April 18).
The driver of the Hyundai, who remained at the scene, was questioned and released. The investigation is continuing.
