Police Investigating Thursday Shooting On Bellaire Blvd
A fight inside the PlazAmericas shopping mall turned into a security guard shooting one man.

HOUSTON, TX — A fight in the PlazAmericas shopping mall turned violent Thursday night after gun shots were fired. Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man around 6:25 p.m. Thursday night.
According to HPD, officers determined two males got into a physical altercation inside the mall and, at some point, one of the men went to his vehicle to get a firearm.
The suspect is believed to have fired the weapon in the parking lot. As the suspect drove through the parking lot, a security guard determined he was a threat to others in the area and fired his weapon. The suspect was struck and transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.

The wounded male was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.
No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is continuing.
