Police Searching For Hit-and-Run Driver: Report

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian late Tuesday night in the city's western suburbs, according to a media report. The accident occurred in the 7700 block of Bellaire Boulevard, KHOU-TV Channel 11 reported.

Police detectives said that a pedestrian was hit while crossing the street, and the vehicle left the scene without stopping, according to Channel 11. The pedestrian suffered internal injuries, but is expected to survive, the police said.

As of Wednesday, the police had not released a description of the suspect vehicle or the driver, Channel 11 reported, adding that detectives were working on several leads,
