Ross Stores To Expand Its Houston Footprint
Clothing chain looks to add four Dress For Less stores in 2017 and five in 2018, plus dd's Discount eyes four new locations.

Ross Stores are adding to their already sizable footprint in the greater Houston area, and have plans to open four new Dress For Less locations this year, plus five in 2018. In addition, the company's dd's Discounts brand hopes to be operating four new stores by the end of 2017. There are currently 51 Dress for Less locations in the area, and 16 dd's Discounts stores.
Dress for Less plans to open stores in Spring, New Casey, and Richmond later this year, and has leased space at 336 Marketplace, a 102-acre retail development at I-45 North and Loop 336 in Conroe, and plans to open there in February 2018. Negotiations are underway involving five more stores for 2018, according to NewQuest Properties, which has represented Ross Stores in area deals.
"There is a lot in the pipeline for both chains," NewQuest's Matthew Reed said in a statement. "Houston is a really good market for their demographics."
