Two Workers Robbed At Gunpoint In Bellaire
Men were at home-remodeling site when suspects held them up in garage.

BELLAIRE, TX — Two workers taking a break from remodeling a home in Bellaire were eating lunch in the home's garage on Tuesday and got a scary surprise: A man brandishing a semiautomatic weapon walked up and robbed them.
"I pray every day to my Lord for work," Raul Gomez, one of the workers, told KTRK. "I have 10 years living in this country and never in my life have I had problems with the people." Gomez and his colleague, Daniel Balbuena, had been working at the Holly Street home without incident. Neither man was harmed during the robbery.
Byron Holloway, Bellaire's chief of the Bellaire Police Department, said two suspects in a brown, four-door sedan were spotted in the neighborhood before the robbery took place.

"We have suspects that drive around just looking for crimes of opportunity, something to steal, somebody easy to rob," Holloway said. "They know sometimes construction workers have cash. Everybody has a cell phone."
