Cedar Park 5th Most Expensive City For Apartment Rentals In Austin Metro Area: Report

The median rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Cedar Park is $1,000, more than $100 more than the $887 state median

CEDAR PARK, TX — Cedar Park is the 5th most expensive city in which to rent an apartment in the Austin metro area, according to the latest Metro Report by Zumper apartment finders.

The median rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Cedar Park is $1,000, more than $100 more than the $887 state median, researchers found. The report also found that since this time last year, Cedar Park rents have remained flat.

Neighboring Leander, meanwhile, emerged as the most expensive, with the median cost of a one-bedroom apartment at $1,100. That's more than $200 than the state median.

In achieving the rankings, Zumper researchers analyzed more than 30,400 active listings in February across the 13 metro cities to show the most- and least-expensive cities and cities with the fastest-growing rents.

Among some highlights:
Most Expensive
Leander, TX was the priciest city to rent in the Austin metro area with a one bedroom median of $1,110. Rent here was over $200 more expensive than the $887 state median.
Austin, TX came in just behind Leander with rent priced at $1,080, making it the second most expensive city.
Brushy Creek, TX ranked as third with one bedroom units at $1,030.
Least Expensive
San Marcos, TX was the most affordable city to rent in the metro area. Rent for one bedroom units settled at $860.
Wells Branch, TX, following closely behind, ranked as the second least expensive city with rent priced at $880.
Kyle, TX came in third with a one bedroom median of $900.
Fastest Growing
Georgetown, TX had the fastest growing rents, up 13.2% since this time last year.
Jollyville, TX rents were the second fastest growing, jumping 4.4%.
Pflugerville, TX rents ranked as third with a yearly growth rate of 4.3%.
