Cedar Park Emerges As 4th Most Expensive City For Renters
Analysts at Zumper, the nation's largest apartment search site, found rent for 1-bedroom apartment grew nearly 3 percent to $1,080.
CEDAR PARK, TX — Cedar Park has emerged as the 4hth most expensive city in which to rent in the Austin metro area, according to a new study.
Zumper researchers published their latest Austin Metro Report covering the 13 cities in the Austin metro area to highlight the most/least expensive cities and cities with the fastest growing rents.
The upshot: The price of one bedroom units grew 2.9 percent from last month to a median of $1,080, while two bedroom units increased 0.7 percent to to $1,410. The state median one bedroom rent was $960 last month, analysts noted. Rental costs for a 1-bedroom unit in Cedar Park were down 1 percent from last year, according to the research.

- Austin, TX rent grew $10 to $1,200 but continued to rank as the most expensive in the metro.
- Brushy Creek, TX moved up 3 spots to rank as the second priciest city with rent growing $30 to $1,130.
- Georgetown, TX dropped to third with rent falling $40 to $1,150.
The Least Expensive
- San Marcos, TX remained the most affordable city with rent at $890.
- Wells Branch, TX saw rent grow $30 to $960 but remain the second least expensive.
- Jollyville, TX was third with one bedrooms priced at $980.
