Police ID Victim, Suspect In Cedar Park Shooting
Police said they received a call related to a shooting incident on Sunday, March 22, at around 5:45 a.m.
CEDAR PARK, TX — Police on Monday released more details related to a shooting that occurred in Cedar Park the previous day.
Police said they received a call related to a shooting incident on Sunday, March 22, at around 5:45 a.m. on Bindon Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Jason Sean Robinson, 39, with multiple gunshot wounds, before he was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The shooting victim remains in stable condition, police said.
The suspect, Kelly Lawrence Schernik, 37, fled in a vehicle but was later located at his home. He was taken into custody without incident, and booked into the Travis County Jail, according to police.

"Based on our investigation, it appears the victim and suspect are known to each other and the shooting was a result of an early morning altercation over the suspect remaining at the house," police wrote in press advisory.
Schernik is charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon —a second degree felony.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Police arrested a suspect in a Sunday shooting that left a person injured, officials said.
The shooting occurred along along Bindon Drive, police said via Twitter at around 9:50 a.m. After a search that took close to two hours, police said the suspect located and placed under custody.
According to police, a shooting victim was transported to an area hospital with gunshot wounds.
By around 12:50 p.m., police apprised a suspect was under arrest.
Police continue to investigate, and said they would provide further details. The age and gender of the shooting victim was not disclosed, nor were the extent of the person's injuries.
