Free Pet Food, Low-Cost Vaccinations Offered In Williamson County

The regional animal shelter is teaming up with Wag Heaven Pet Supplies and Self-Serve Dog Wash and Jarrell Animal Hospital to help pets.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The regional animal shelter is teaming up with local businesses to provide free pet food and low-cost vaccinations to residents needing a little help during these challenging times.

To that end, Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is partnering with Wag Heaven Pet Supplies and Self-Serve Dog Wash, a local pet food and supplies store, in hosting another free drive-thru pet food bank.

Local residents in need of help feeding their pets should visit the Wag Heaven store in downtown Georgetown, located at 205 W. 6th St. on Sunday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Wag Heaven will be giving out free dog and cat food on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.

The event is a low-contact drive-thru event furthering the shelter’s goal is to help families enjoy their holiday season by knowing that their pets are well-fed, safe, and comfortable, shelter officials said in an advisory. Residents should enter the Wag Heaven driveway from the entrance on 6th Street. Vehicles will exit at Rock Street.

On Jan. 9, 2021, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Wag Heaven and Jarrell Animal Hospital will conduct a low-cost walk-in vaccination clinic at the same Wag Heaven store in downtown Georgetown, to benefit the animals at the shelter. Pets will receive vaccinations for just $15 per shot, $2 of which will be donated to the shelter, while supplies last.
