Officials compiled a list of key telephone numbers and links for residents to keep handy in case of emergency as they grapple with cold.

LEANDER, TX — Leander officials compiled a list of important telephone numbers and links for residents dealing with a historic cold front that has swept across the region.
See below for service changes, public safety activities, and phone numbers to know:
- For weather updates, follow the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio branch website (link is external) or Facebook page(link is external).
- Residents experiencing a health or safety emergency should dial 9-1-1.

- Power outages should be reported to Pedernales Electric.
- Natural gas emergencies or outages should be reported to Atmos Energy at 866-322-8667.
- For additional weather safety information, visit the City of Leander website.
- Non-emergency travel is strongly discouraged. Residents who become stranded in their vehicles or see downed power lines or branches blocking a public roadway, should call the Leander Police Department non-emergency number at 512-528-2800.
- City crews are continuing to monitor major roadways for ice, but sanding operations are suspended due to severe conditions. Essential worker, public safety, and utility vehicle travel will be significantly reduced until temperatures improve.
- Trash and recycling pickup is suspended until further notice. Status updates will be shared on the city website as well as the Clawson Disposal site.
- When Clawson Disposal is able to resume operations, brush pickup will be available on regular collection routes, but branches must be cut down into 3- to 4-foot lengths and grouped in bundles of 40 pounds or lighter.
- City offices are closed on Monday. Offices are scheduled to resume operations Tuesday.
