Leander Area Youth Invited To Summer STEM Events

The Leander Public Library will host in-person activities at the Library for kids ages 8-12 and focusing on a range of weekly STEM topics.

LEANDER, TX—With summer nearly in full swing, and as kids begin their break from the school year, Leander families will have opportunities to stay connected and engaged with Simply STEM hosted by the Leander Public Library. The Library's Youth Services invite kids ages 8-12 to in-person weekly activities that explore the wondrous world of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Scheduled throughout June and July, participants will learn about a different STEM topic each week including:

JUNE

  • June 4: Dinosaur Bone Reconstruction
  • June 7 & June 11: Ozobots
  • June 14 & June 18: Catapults
  • June 21 & June 25: Binary Bracelets

JULY

  • July 5 & July 9: How Do Viruses React to Hand Soap?
  • July 12 & July 16: Hour of Code
  • July 19 & July 23: Wind Powered Cars
  • July 26 & July 30: Paper Airplane Launchers
