Some of the new guidelines state a person's quarantine period can end after day 10 following close contact exposure without testing and having remained symptom free.

After stopping quarantine, individuals are expected to monitor for symptoms until 14 days after exposure.

If a person has symptoms, they must immediately self-isolate and contact the local public health authority or healthcare provider.

Guidelines for wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet from others, washing one's hands and avoiding crowds remains in effect.

Officials said if an employee receives the 1st or 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and has symptoms, the normal return protocol applies (must be diarrhea, vomiting, and fever-free for 24 hours to return to work). If the symptoms last longer than 72 hours, the employee needs a doctor’s note to return.
