Leander School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Leander is August 28. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Leander School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/9: No School for Students (Staff Development)

November

• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Fall Break)

December

• 12/18: Early Release Day - HS Only
• 12/19: Early Release Day - HS Only, Last Day of Semester
• 12/20 - 1/3: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/2: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/3: No School (Staff Development)
• 1/4: First Day of Semester
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)

February

• 2/19: No School (Presidents Day)

March

• 3/12 - 3/16: No School (Spring Break)
• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/7: Early Release Day - HS Only
• 6/8: Last Day of School, Early Release Day - All Levels
