More Than Half Of WilCo Residents Are Fully Vaccinated

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — More than half of Williamson County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the Texas DSHS vaccine data dashboard.
About 52.12 percent of residents, including children 12 years and older, are fully vaccinated and about 63.88 percent have received at least one dost of the COVID-19 vaccine.
There have been 550,857 coronavirus vaccines administered in Williamson County since the county began administering doses earlier this year, the data reports.

The data dashboard reports 10,382 teens between the ages 12-15 have been vaccinated with at least one dose and 2,413 are fully vaccinated.
About 155,356 people between the ages 16 and 49 have been vaccinated with at least one dose and 135,379 are fully vaccinated, which is the highest of the aged populations in the county to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

The data reports 73,600 people between 50-64 years old have received at least one dose and 62,851 are fully vaccinated; 52,071 people between 65-79 have received at least one dose and 45,254 are fully vaccinated; and 13,340 people over 80 years old have received at least one dose and 11,315 are fully vaccinated.
As of Tuesday, there were 18 new coronavirus cases and no new deaths. There has been 40,110 total cases, 480 deaths since the pandemic began last March, authorities said.
