New Cedar Park Sandwich Shop Celebrating With Free Food

Ike's Love & Sandwiches will celebrate its Texas entry with free sandwiches to first 50 customers May 23 at Whitestone Boulevard.

CEDAR PARK, TX — San Francisco-based Ike's Love & Sandwiches is marking its Texas entry with the opening of a Cedar Park store where free food will be given to the first 50 customers.

Former Houston Astros baseball pitcher Mark Appel is a partner in the Texas expansion comprising the local site at 1431 E. Whitestone Blvd. and in Austin at 5207 Brodie Lane.

Hot, sauce-drenched sandwiches is the order of the day at Ike's Love & Sandwiches as Eater Austin reported. The website reports the Cedar Park location will feature three Texas-only sandwiches: The Running Brushy with roast beef smothered in the chain's proprietary barbecue sauce, green chilis and pepper jack cheese; its vegetarian cousin the Cluck Ranch with vegan steak; and the fried chicken sandwich with honey, barbecue sauce, honey mustard and pepper jack/Swiss/and cheddar cheeses.
